About us
...and now there are six of us!

Welcome to the Sonnenhof Preda

ALLEGRA. On June 1, 2024, we—Marina Giovanoli and Benjamin Meier—took over the Sonnenhof Preda in the Albula Valley. The property, nestled in the picturesque mountains of Graubünden, includes a mountain guest house (B&B with half-board) and a group house.

At the end of January 2025, the Sonnenhof team welcomed a new addition. We are delighted by the birth of our son Jamie, who, incidentally, is Preda’s youngest resident. And then another sprinkle of luck: Since December 2025, Corinne and Philipp, along with their three-year-old daughter Sina—a family of close friends from Bern—have been helping us out.

It’s important to us to cook with seasonal and largely organic ingredients. Whenever possible, we source local products from Bergün and the Engadin. Our kitchen is currently open only to our guests or by reservation.

We were able to reopen the group house in April 2025, now literally under a new roof. We opened the mountain guest house in August 2025. The uniquely peaceful and unspoiled landscape invites you to go ski touring, sledding, cross-country skiing, hiking, biking, or simply to linger and take a deep breath.

With exciting ideas and gentle renovations, we aim to bring our sustainable concept to life. We plan to establish a “mini-farm” with chickens and goats, as well as grow herbs and vegetables. In the future, this will offer an environmentally and nature-focused educational program for schools, clubs, and interested groups in the mountain landscape of the Ela Nature Park.

We wish you a relaxing stay and unforgettable experiences in the nature of the Albula Valley.

With sunny regards,

Marina & Beni with Jamie, Corinne & Philipp with Sina
