“Mushrooms everywhere…”
A project week organized by ETH Zurich kicked off this year’s mushroom season. The participants collected, examined, and observed the various mushroom species under a microscope, also in relation to their habitats.
Slow Up – with 9,000 Participants
September 6th was Slow Up day! Even before 10 a.m., the first enthusiastic cyclists and roller skiers were stopping by our Sonnenhof booth. Shortly after, we were ready with coffee, cake, quiche, and drinks. There was a cheerful atmosphere as ambitious athletes mingled, all of whom were happy to take a short break before hopping back on their bikes or skis, refreshed and ready to go.
After the recent rain showers, we set out to forage as well and found a great selection of porcini and chanterelles around Preda. We made porcini pasta, garnished the salad with chanterelles, and tried some porcini capuns. We even had enough to fill a few jars with dried mushrooms!
